Your data & AI
Three different things, kept separate.
1. This website and early-access email
This site has no accounts, no uploads, and no analysis features. What you type on the early-access page stays in your browser and is only used to build a draft email in your own email app.
When you send that email, we receive your address and your message and keep it in our mailbox to reply. Full details are in the privacy notice.
2. The 701ai application
The application is still in development and is not described here yet. We will publish these answers from the behaviour of the actual release, not from intentions:
- Where source files and saved analyses are stored.
- Where calculations run.
- What information is sent to an AI provider, and what triggers that transfer.
- How provider credentials are stored and removed.
- How deletion works, including any logs or backups.
Until then, please don't assume that an application running on your own computer means everything stays on your computer. Software installed locally can still send information to a cloud service, and we won't claim otherwise before we can show it.
3. External AI providers
The current plan is that you use your own model-provider account, and the provider bills that usage to you directly, separately from anything you pay us.
A consumer chatbot subscription is not the same as API access. Many chat plans do not include API usage, which is billed separately by the provider.
Using your own account does not by itself mean a provider keeps nothing. What a provider retains, and for how long, is set by that provider's terms — check them for the account you use.
